We welcome students of all ages! Typically, we recommend starting from age 5 for most instruments, but we have specialized programs for younger children and adult learners who are picking up an instrument for the first time.
Yes, indeed, GC is one of the Exam Centres in KL for Rockschool to hold music exams. We prepare students for internationally recognized UK based music exams such as ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music), Trinity College London, and Rockschool exams.
Our teachers will guide you through the preparation process, and we will assist with exam registration. However, if you don't fancy stressful exams and prefer casually exploring your passion, learning through the songs that you love is totally fine!
Yes, of course! Ideally it is best to purchase your own instrument so that students can practice at home and progress smoothly. However, instruments can be provided during lessons. Instruments such as drums, amps, piano and keyboards will be provided.
If students can't commit to purchase for an instrument, we also offer studio rentals in both GC TTDI and 1U branch with a very affordable student price! No worries, we're committed to find any solutions for your music progress!

However, we are also conducting group classes (available for selected instruments and selected timings) which are great for those who enjoy a social environment and learning alongside friends!
GC Music Academy's main branch is located in TTDI, KL. It's located in 2nd floor upstairs, parents can opt to drop your child and pick them after class. It is also walking distance from TTDI MRT. Wheareas 1 Utama branch, our classrooms are also found hidden behind Guitar Collection's showroom. You can find us in New Wing second floor, it's also walking distance from LRT 1Utama. It's a very convenient shopping spot for parents to drop their kids for lesson while they can go for shopping in 1U.
