THE LONG STORY.

The Bass Octave Deluxe is a dual-voice octave pedal that offers analog tone, true bypass, and a variety of tonal options. MXR's 18 volt Constant Headroom Technology™ provides high headroom and superior tracking. Use the Dry knob to mix in your direct signal, and hit the Mid+ switch to add up to +14dB of internally adjustable mid frequencies (400Hz or 850Hz). Finally, mix in two separately controlled octave voices-Growl (for throaty tone) and Girth (for deep tone).

CONTROLS

1. MID+ switch adds up to +14dB of internally adjustable midrange (blue LED indicates on)
2. DRY knob controls volume of clean bass signal
3. GROWL knob controls volume of throaty, midrange sub-octave voice
4. GIRTH knob controls volume of deep and smooth sub-octave voice
5. FOOTSWITCH toggles effect on/ bypass (blue LED indicates on)

DIRECTIONS

• Run a cable from your guitar to the Bass Octave Deluxe’s INPUT jack and run another cable from the Bass Octave Deluxe’s OUTPUT jack to your amplifier.
• Start with all controls at 12 o’clock.
• Turn the effect on by depressing the footswitch.
• Rotate DRY knob clockwise to increase level of dry signal or counterclockwise to decrease it.
• Rotate the GROWL knob clockwise to increase level of throaty midrange sub-octave voice or counterclockwise to decrease it.
• Rotate the GIRTH knob clockwise to increase level of smooth, deep sub-octave voice or counterclockwise to decrease it.
• Depress MID+ switch to boost midrange. Frequency and level are both adjustable via internal slider (up for 850Hz, down for 400Hz) and trim pot (+4dB when fully clockwise, +14dB fully counterclockwise). Please see diagram
